ST JOHN LINEN DRIVE

A shipment of 40 mattresses for elderly and low income families on St John in the US Virgin Islands is en route to the island from Atlanta, but they need bed linens.  We've put together an Amazon wishlist to make that happen and hope that you can help us.   

Six months ago Irma and Maria blew through the US Virgin Islands turning the lives of the communities there literally on their heads. St John Angel Network is a non-profit group rebuilding the homes of low-income and elderly individuals and families on the island of St John. Amazon will ship your gift to Los Angeles where we will be putting a single shipment together to simplify the receipt of donations for the Foundation.  20% of sales raised by the Henry Road/Pergolina pop up shop (below) will go towards shipping costs to St John and sheets.  Please feel free to include a gift message with your purchase as notes of kindness and support are hugely appreciated by the recipients.

THANK YOU!   A huge thank you to everyone who came by the last pop up and generously made my volunteer trip to the Caribbean following Irma and Maria possible.   No words really matter or describe how lucky I feel to have spent five weeks on St John helping. The strength and ability of both nature and humanity to rebound was in equal parts heart warming and heart hurting.  I scrubbed, mopped, lugged, chopped, walked rescue dogs, wrapped holiday gifts, had the book 'A Bird is A Bird" read to me more times than I can count, and painted a mural at Gifft Hill School featuring the post-hurricane tag #lovecitystrong that the kids and staff filled in.  More than anything I listened and laughed!
